The planning application was submitted to the Highland Council in December 2006. The Environmental Statement (a document which outlines the conclusions of the Environmental Impact Assessment surveys, the scope of which has been determined in consultation with the planning authorities and statutory consultees) is now available to view along with the planning application at the council planning offices.

In response to requests received through the statutory consultation process, npower renewables is currently in the process of undertaking additional environmental surveys and compiling additional information to support the application. It is intended that this supplementary information will be submitted to the Highland Council in October 2008. Local residents will be updated of any changes to the scheme after this has been completed.

Over the coming months the planning officer will assess the information submitted, and consider comments from local people and other consultees.

The planning officer will write a report recommending either approval or refusal and the reason for coming to this recommendation. A final decision about the application will then be made by Highland Council Planning Authority.
