Community Benefits
npower renewables has delivered a range of community benefits in association with its operating wind farms. These measures benefit those communities living closest to each wind farm, and have to date included energy efficiency schemes, schools education programmes, local event sponsorships, equipment for schools, youth groups and sports clubs, and repair works to village halls and other community buildings.
Such community benefits package would be established by npower renewables in relation to the Burn of Whilk scheme, following consultation with local representatives. In this case it is likely that some benefits would be directed at the significant local archaeological resource, including restoration works and interpretation facilities.
